ACQUIRE participate in the Ofwat ACCELER-REG31 sprint at the NWL Innovation festival 2025 (July 2025)

The Northumbrian Water Group's Innovation festival 2025 brought together utilities, suppliers, regulators and innovators together to crack big water-sector challenges. One highlight was the ACCELER-REG31 sprint, run by Ofwat Innovation Fund and Isle Utilities, which tackled how to turbo-charge the Regulation 31 approval journey.

The ACQUIRE project— an Ofwat Discovery Challenge winner led by Mounce Hydrosmart Ltd with the University of Sheffield and RBMTS — built a prototype Regulation 31 AI Decision-Support Bot 🤖 that can guide innovators through evidence requirements and typical bottlenecks. This AI assistant uses all the relevant context contained in the documents and reports of the 'Regulation 31 package'.
